Here's a customized 1970 (S/N 60xxx) Bach 43* Corporation lightweight bell on a standard weight body in raw brass. This horn can Play!! The valves are newly refitted by Mark Metzler at Metzler Brass (over $400 value) and they in better than new condition! The bell was added on later since lightweight bell normally pairs with lightweight body. The 3rd slide is replaced with a later silver Strad that has been partially buffed to raw brass. The leadpipe and valve casing has some significant pitting, but none of those are red rot or affect the inner tubing. The leadpipe looks super clean from the inside! There is a patch on the knuckle going from tuning slide into the valve casing but professionally done. The finger buttons are switched to Curry lightweight buttons for that extra fast action. All and all, the sound is much better than my personal Yamaha NY Gen 1, but I just prefer the consistency on my Yamaha over this gorgeous horn. This 43* is in great shape with very little dings and dents other than pittings, indicating this is a player's horn for all its life, and still plenty of that left!
