I custom-ordered this C trumpet and am the original owner since Feb. 2015. It is silver plated, with sterling leadpipe (reverse configuration), stainless valves, a bronze bell tail, and Lee's Amoado water keys. Medium-Large Bore (0.460 inch), standard 37 style bell. The remainder of the instrument is yellow brass. There are two main tuning slides: Braced Round shape and Unbraced D shape. The Sterling leadpipe aids projection, and the Bronze bell tail has a small improvement to articulation sound. Use the unbraced D slide for a freer feeling and broader sound. The braced round slide offers a more compact sound with better in-tune partials. This instrument is easier to play than many Bach C trumpets, so it would be a good choice for those new to C trumpet or those who mostly play Bb.
The instrument has been responsibly cared for. In March 2020, I got a custom CarolBrass Euro bell style C trumpet (liking the feedback from the upturned bell), and I don't need two C trumpets. |
