Patterned closely after my 1965 King Silver Sonic balanced model I received from Harry James, my new horn is as close to the original as I could make it with the exception of the bell. I decided to use a fully annealed yellow brass bell as the silver bells available today are not the same as what King made especially for Harry James in those days. I wanted this horn to play as wide open with that James brilliance he was so famous for and of course it is in the balanced configuration. The photo of the original and the new replica side by side show quite clearly the end result. Available from Washington Music Center, call Lee Walkowich at (301) 946-8808 or email him at for details and pricing.
