SOLD

Selling a very lightly used Dillon picc. I believe these are made by JZ, who seems to have re-emerged with much better quality than they had a decade ago. A few different shops in the US appear to be selling store-branded models of JZ piccs, Bb's, and flugels. The valves are not Hoxon Gakki (i.e., what Carol Brass uses), but they're decent and broke in well for me with Berp valve oil.

This horn has never left my (smoke-free) apartment in the ~year that I’ve had it. (Admittedly that’s mostly due to the pandemic, but still!) It's in excellent condition -- I don't see any dents or dings. There are some very minor imperfections in the finish, especially where braces connect; but the horn came like this. (See note below on fit and finish.)

This would make a great starter picc, or a back-up for when you take a picc on rock gigs. (Joking! But that would be fun, right?)

Selling only because I splurged on an Adams picc.

Asking $450 (obo) + $30 shipping to the US. (Outside of the US, actual shipping costs apply.)

Some things to note:

- It’s a great budget piccolo trumpet, but it doesn't have the fit/finish of a Schilke/Yamaha/Adams. In particular, the first and third slides are a little loose, and the fourth slide legs appear to be slightly out of parallel. Everything still works — the third slide ring is really handy for C# and D, and it’s nice and smooth with standard UltraPure grease. (You don't want the slide too slippery anyway, or it'll go flying.) For the price, I never felt the need to take it to the shop to have these minor issues worked out, but they’d be easy fixes for just about any repair tech.

- The valves are pretty nice!

- Intonation is good. Like I said, the third slide ring is really handy.

- Comes with trumpet-shank Bb and A pipes. Both sides play great with a standard Bach 7E. The ACB 7DP (super short shank) is also nice on the Bb side.

- Comes with a decent molded foam case with shoulder straps. There’s also a generic mouthpiece that I’ve never used.
