A trumpet that was used by leading players throughout the musical world, the King Silvertone was the trumpet used as the basis for later models used by the great Harry James when he switched to King instruments. This trumpet was made in 1949 when the H.N. White factory was in Cleveland prior to relocating to Eastlake, Ohio and instruments from this period were considered the high point of the King name. In outstanding condition it blows with an open sound and produces all the "sparkle" you would expect with it's fully engraved sterling silver bell. This trumpet is currently in the collection of Larry Jess, principal trumpet with the Spokane Symphony. No case is supplied and it is priced to sell. Venmo is accepted along with cashier's checks and money orders. Shipping is included. |
