1958 Martin Committee #2 bore (.451) SN 1999xx.. plays wonderfully, in really fine condition - valves are smooth with good compression, slides move as they should, dent free, raw brass. Includes an original case (in "B" condition) and a Martin Elkhart #9 gold plated mouthpiece. To the best of my knowledge only minor repairs (small dents) have ever been made on this, there are no signs of extensive repair work.
Lacquer was professionally removed, as I was going to have it completely re-done, but didn't finish that process - leaving it "raw"
"199900 Martin offers Committee, Imperial, & Indiana “Chieftain” model brass in their January 1958 price list"
Time to get this to someone who will truly appreciate its heritage and jazz notes; and to shrink my ever growing stable. More information available to serious buyers. |
