I am a comback player - just started up again this summer (04), trying hard. Played in a small salsa combo in my 20's but layed the horn down at 25. Now at 53, well.... someday I hope to play well enough again to play in a small jazz band, or swing band and entertain in small venue (maybe in retirement!!!). I play in Church and with the community band. I am finding that I take the trumpet and my progress more seriously now and am really having more fun than I did 28 years ago. I am currently studying BE and wish I could find a BE teacher in Alaska.
Well, thats me. Spent all my life doing other things - have been successfull, but, regret laying the horn down......but I have every intention of being a good player again. Thanks to all those who post and share on this site. I am learning every time I log on. I still think we trumpet players are a strange lot........ |
