Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I’m delighted to announce and promote the exciting and inaugural International Trumpet Festival Wales (ITFW), set to take place between 7-9 April this year at Swansea University and the nearby Brangwyn Hall, Wales UK.

The Festival offers your senior students, under-graduates and graduates an opportunity to explore all forms of trumpet and cornet performance in a fusion of genres from jazz to orchestral, with international exponents of their instrument Tony Fisher, James Watson, David Staff, Roger Webster and myself.

It is not often that so much talent of the trumpet is amassed under one roof for the purpose of teaching and sharing experiences in the world of professional performance and the Festival also provides opportunities for participating students to perform with their tutors in public performance.

I would very much appreciate your passing the enclosed message to your colleagues/students and trumpet player friends and hope that you will encourage them to attend ITFW, which is sure to present many exciting opportunities become better equipped for the world of professional trumpet and cornet playing.

Philippe Schartz
