|Benjamin Alle is a freelance trumpet performer and private lesson instructor in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Minnesota School of Music, where he studied with David Baldwin. Dr. Alle is a member of the Minneapolis-based Compass Rose Brass Ensemble and the Antithesis Project, and has performed with a number of Minnesota-based ensembles, including the Wayzata, Kenwood, and Mankato Symphony Orchestras, the Civic Orchestra of Minneapolis, and the Edina Chorale. He also serves on the boards of the Compass Rose Brass Ensemble and the Minnesota Latvian Concert Assocation.|
Dr. Alle teaches trumpet lessons to students of all ages and levels of ability. As a teacher, he is eager to pass on the joy he finds in music to others, tailoring his teaching style to the needs of each student. He also teaches choir and literature at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Latvian School and has taught at the Krišjānis Barons Latvian School in Chicago.
Dr. Alle also received his Masters of Music in trumpet performance from the University of Minnesota School of Music, during which time he studied with David Baldwin and Gary Bordner. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in trumpet performance from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Terry Schwartz and graduated cum laude.
Dr. Alle lives in Minneapolis with his wife and two cats and enjoys fishing and drinking coffee.
