“Dave Coughran-Lane is a Melbourne based multi instrumentalist/composer/arranger /producer, and has been playing professionally for 16 years, Covering many different musical styles . Having extensively toured Australia and New Zealand , Dave has shared the stage with many leading artists like: Burt Bacharach, Todd McKenny, Wendy Stapleton, John Morrison, Natalie Bassingthwaighte & the late Billy Thorpe… just to name a few. He has arranged for the likes of Kate Ceberano, Tim Campbell, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Wendy Stapleton, John Morrison’s Swing City, RAAF Band, Australian Show band, And many more, And has played support for the likes of :John Butler trio, Marcia Hines, You am I and the Cat Empire…. In 2003 he was the associate musical director & drummer for the Cast of Neighbours Performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Regent Theatre in Melbourne. In 2007 Dave played trumpet for the theme of the hit series on the ABC, Carbon Cops, played lead trumpet for Bobby Rydell's Australian tour, performed with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for the Victoria Bitter beer advert & played trumpet for the concert for Max Merritt at the Palais theatre in St. Kilda.
Dave has completed his Bachelor or Music at the Victorian College of the Arts, and is currently performing with DCL Showband (musical director/trumpet), Shake a Tailfeather, the Blues Brothers Tribute Show (lead vocals) , Combo la Revelacion, Australia's leading salsa band (trumpet/trombone), Milly Edwards, 2004 Australian idol finalist (Musical director/ Arranger/ Composer/Producer)
