I'm a comeback amateur player from Finland, who after some twenty years thought the time to be ripe for a new attempt with trumpet. I've been playing for about two and a half years now, and I think I have at last started to make some real progress. That's why I'm presently seeking a decent, used Bach 37 Stradivarius.
My instruments:
Getzen Eterna C trumpet
- from 70's
- seen much, but I like it nevertheless
- usually with Yamaha 17C4 GP mouthpiece or Giardinelli 6B (also Warburton 2MD + 11 backbore)
Bach Stradivarius 239 Eb/D trumpet
- post strike
- usually with Warburton 6M top and 9 backbore (the sound is a bit bright, perhaps 6MC or 6MD would be better)
Bach VBS 196 Bb/A piccolo trumpet
- I absolutely love it
- Warburton Custom (it's tiny) + KT* backbore, also Yamaha 11B4 GP
Yamaha 4335G Bb cornet
- quite a nice instrument, but should be upgraded some time
- usually with stock Bach 3B mouthpiece or Warburton 3XD top and 11 backbore
Yamaha 2335II Eb soprano cornet
- useable, but has certain intonation issues
- Bach 18C and Yamaha 7D4d mouthpieces |
