| I initiated trumpet lessons about 33 years ago (1977) and played on and off over the years. More recently I have been playing bass in a local amateur jazz group, and I picked up the trumpet again a few years ago to learn some Real Book tunes and to get my trumpet improv skills to the same level as my bass improv skills. I am a committed amateur, with no plans to turn pro. Occasional informal acoustic jazz jams is all I am interested in. |
