| I am a church choir and orchestra director, brass teacher and performer, and former band director. I have been playing trumpet since 1996, and I have over ten years of teaching experience in instrumental and vocal music. I am a graduate of the University of Tennesee-Knoxville, with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. I play any and all styles, as I do my best to keep my chops fresh on as many things as possible. I am involved in or have been involved in numerous ensembles on campus including the UT Pride of the Southland marching band (undergraduate assistant, former 1st trumpet, soloist, section leader), UT symphonic band, UT trumpet ensemble (featured soloist), UT Studio Orchestra (lead trumpet/flugel), UT jazz big band (lead and solo trumpet) and 1st trumpet in the Ottone Quintet, one of UT's brass quintets. I served as a brass instructor at two Knoxville area middle and high schools and have my own trumpet studio. I also work around the region as a freelance player. I have played for various churches, weddings, funeral ceremonies, television, radio and compact disc recordings, and also for several musical/drama productions. |
