WoW!! That '47 looks brand new! You know you're in for a bargain when the seller's opening line is "we don't know much about trumpets but...." Nicely done. _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing. |

Now come on, there's no way you can play both! There's gotta be a law against getting two vintage pearls in one week!
Foul! Foul!
I will trade you one slightly used 17 year old with a bad attitude and 2 speeding tickets IN THE SAME WEEK for that '47......although setting your wallet on fire and nailing your foot to the floor has basically the same effect...... |

Good score! Just Tuesday, during a chance stop at a local pawn shop, I picked up an early 60's Martin Committee AND Olds Flugelhorn (now I have two of the same FH). I'm embarrassed to say how low I got them for. Doesn't luck like this strike in three's? Somebody out there has good juju and is going to be a big winner within the next couple of days! _________________ Trumpet: 1975 Benge CG, 1964 Martin Committee

This is along the same lines as adieste's experience at the pawn shop. Yesterday I walked into a goodwill store and found a 1964 Olds Mendez in excellent shape sitting on the display case. It was kind of nice to stumble on a great deal for myself instead of just hearring
about the finds that other people have gotten. |
