Don't know but they can check my feedback on eBay to convince them.

I always thought the "buying and selling" part is only a secondary purpose of the TrumpetHerald |

Wouldn’t convince me.

Wouldn’t one need to know their eBay username to check? |

True.
Honestly, I don’t really care about ebay feedback. If someone joins TH solely to sell on the no-cost Marketplace, I prefer not to do business with them.

Changed my opinion on this, after just seeing an ad in the marketplace placed almost immediately after post five.
Make it 15.
Seriously, nothing is a guarantee, but anything to slow the progression of TH turning into Craigslist seems like a good idea to me.

Ideally, yes, but there will always be those seeking to take advantage of FREE SELLING here.
The only option, apparently, is to not buy from posters who hit number five and immediately list stuff for sale. Obviously I’m speaking only for myself here.

I have a King Silvertone Cornet that my father bought as a secondary instrument when he was in college. I have played it since I was 10. Marching bands, jazz bands, concert bands, including the Marching Illini, 50 years ago this fall!!
It is apparent none of my grandchildren are interested, so I reluctantly will post it for sale.
Thanks,
