Does anyone know how to visually distinguish Yamaha 9335 CHS Gen II from Gen III models?
I'm looking to purchase a Yamaha 9335 Chicago on eBay - most of which seem to be from Japan (which is fine by me).
However, I'm finding that Japanese sellers usually won't divulge serial numbers, and they're often blurred-out in the photos.
As a result I'm having difficulty visually distinguishing between Gen II's and Gen III's. Both seem to have the raised pinky hook, the quarter-turn 3rd slide stopper, and double lines on the mouthpiece receiver.
Is there a visual way to make this distinction without the serial number?
Thanks for any insights!
Regards, - Ben
PS: Is there also a way to make this distinction on 9335 NYS models? Thanks! _________________ Ben Gosvig

Actually, upon closer inspection, this thread is almost exclusively about C pitch Artists, which does have some correlation to the Bb, but not entirely. _________________ Ben Gosvig
