Does anybody have any suggestions on what to use for lead if I use a 2C? The practical answer would be a 2D or 2E, but Bach doesn't make them, so I have to look somewhere else. Thanks

That Bach 2C rim is quite thin, but fairly flat. I have a few older 2C's that I like a lot. If you have a second 2C, you could have Reeves or somebody else thread that rim to fit whatever "lead" underpart that works for you........

Mark Curry. Call him, he'll have an answer for you.

I've heard some people use drilled out Bach 3C's for lead work (Arturo Sandoval), but it would depend on wether or not you wanted to change rims. Some players don't like changing rims.

I play a 2C. A Schilke 14a4a is not a bad option for lead work, though the rim may be slighty larger in diameter.

GR has many rim widths and you can get numerous depthes with each width

A Reeves 42S, Warburton 4SV or Giardinelli 7S should all be pretty close to a 2C rim.
And of course Mark Curry will be able to help you.

Or you could use a 3D, 3E, 3F, the 3 and 2 are pretty close to each other, and the slightly smaller rim will also help the high notes

I may be wrong but I think the Monette B4S may be comparable in rim size to the Bach 2C. The B4L may worth a try too.

I would second the suggestion of a Warburton SV cup. They are awesome! I love them with a KT* backbore!!!!!!
