Harrelson refunded the original shipping cost I paid at time of purchase.
I agreed to cover the shipping costs for the 2 defective horns. When I get back from vacation next week, I can order the new horn I settled on, thanks to some very kind and helpful folks. |

Conrats are in order I suppose after it clears Forrest. Glad that holding your breath wasn't a prerequisite.
As per Joe's question, have you settled on what you are going to get? _________________ Tom

Forrest,
Are you going to favor TH with a review once the Shires is in your hands?
Hope so!
Best wishes,

This thread is hilarious and educational: after 2 months and 50 pages of angst, argument, accusation and acrimony, Forest receives his refund and the whole thing dies quietly.
It had life as long as there was no refund, and as soon as it arrived there were congrats and thanks all around and it is over.
Good lesson in business management and keeping customers happy and how you can keep a good business reputation for yourself. |

I prefer to think of it as riding off into the sunset.
It was the worst (most aggravating) 6 months of my (trumpet playing) life, and I'm glad it's over.
By comparison, the Shires folks are in regular contact with me. I can't wait the 6 or so more weeks until it's done. Trent is going to give it a test blow before shipping.

Forrest,
I am so happy to hear that your Shires experience is going so much better than your prior one with another firm.

If you think the whole thing just dies quitely, I believe you are sadly mistaken.
I would not assume that the fact that most see no need to flog a dead horse implies in any way that there anyone has forgotten what occurred here. I know I won't.
While I'm glad Forrest got his refund, I think the damage has been done.

So how do you like the Shires, now that you've had it for quite a while? _________________ Taylor Chicago Standard • Getzen 900 Eterna Classic • Yamaha 731 flugelhorn
