Hello, my job is to spread the good news for our upcoming trumpet conference!!!! The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Brass Congress is holding an amazing trumpet conference October 3rd and 4th(Friday and Saturday).

Mail in Registration is over, but you can still register right at the door when you arrive!

The conference will have three guest artists:

Bob Platt is a former trumpet player with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and is flying all the way over from Germany to be with us at this conference. This is a rare opportunity to be able to hear a trumpet player from a major European symphony play and give masterclasses in the United States.

Bill Adam during the course of his career at Indiana Univeristy, became one of the most well known trumpet instructors of the twentieth century. He has had an unprecedented number of students experience success in major orchestras, the recording industry, and jazz. Students include Bob Platt, John Head, Chris Botti, Charley Davis, Jerry Hey, Randy Brecker, and Pat Harbison to name a few.

Charley Davis is a musician coming to us from the state of California. He has a distinguished career playing in the recording industry, and was a trumpet player for people such as Buddy Rich, Frank Sinatra, and Placido Domingo.

To learn more about our guest artists just go to: http://www.uwec.edu/brasscongress/trumpetconference/artists.html

Friday night is the "Meet the Masters Gala" which is basically a catered meal that all of the other conference attendees and the guest artists will be at to talk with. It is only $9.95 to add this to your registration. You can't even eat at most restaurants for $9.95 anymore and when was the last time the room was filled with famous trumpet players???

Saturday is the main conference with masterclasses, panel discussions, clinics, and displays. Saturday night is the concert featuring our guest artists.

For more information including the master schedule, hotel accomodations, directions, travel times, and anything else you could want to know, including e-mail contact names in case you still need to know more, visit our website at:

Just remember, you can register right at the door! Hope to see you all there, this promises to be a rare opportunity in many aspects and a great event!!

Best wishes in your trumpet playing!
