Hi,
Billy May's arrangements were some of the most inspired ever conceived. I do not know if this company is still in business, but try to get a hold of Marina Music from LA (Marina del Rey in the mid-late 80's). They were always good about finding access to great original charts. If anyone knows who currently handles marketing for the old Creative World publications (Kenton's jazz education wing), they may also be a possible source.
If you have not been priviledged to hear many Billy May arrangements, get your hands on recordings of Claude Gordon's Big Band. There's some really good stuff on those albums. Admittedly (quotation by Claude himself) some of the performances remind one of "Herbert Clarke meets Count Basie" but it's all amazing writing and musically acrobatic playing throughout the albums. Check the CG website.
Regards
Dave
