Is there a recording of this piece available? I can't seem to find one anywhere....

Louis Ranger has a very nice recording of it. I think you can get it from Summit or maybe TAP music.

The Louis Ranger recording is on Crystal Records. I believe it is called "The Trumpet Comes of Age."

That's right. I remember seeing the ad in the ITG journal. The Crystal catalog is great.

There was an excerpt on Amazon at one time (I was desparate and found that snippet when trying to get the music -- I had/have just an excerpt) you can listen to...

I really like the 2nd movement. Great for weddings, church, etc.

The rest of the piece is garbage.

The 2nd movt. is pretty nice...the rest is garbage.
