My latest ebay purchase

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2569084812&category=16214&rd=1

Have any of you played this particular model, and what do you think of B H trumpets in general? This is the first Boosey horn I've played, spent about 4 hours with it yesterday, and find this particular one does better going for an orchestral sound with a big mpc than a jazz sound with my little bitty Stork.

plp -
A lot of the schools I teach at have B&H "Oxford" french horns and trumpets. I always thought Oxford = student horn and never really thought much of them, to be honest. They sound alright but the build always seemed a bit cheap to me and intonation far from ideal. The horns I'm familiar with are from the 1960's so maybe the older ones are of better quality. If you're happy with your purchase that's all that really matters. Have fun with it.
