Having the event ever year (at least lately) around Spring commencement/graduation ceremonies pretty much guarantees a lot of people can not attend. |

Actually no. We have looked a many different options but no matter when the conference is scheduled someone will have a conflict. In the list you can include, gigs, summer classes, summer festivals, summer tours, family vacations, and this list can be endless.
From the organization side we have to work with the availability of the conference site and and ultimately cost. Some of the summer month are "prime" vacation booking for them and the rooms would cost twice as much.
Unfortunately this is a problem that can not be avoided and participants will have to make a choice if they want to attend. We would love to provide the perfect answer but it is not possible.

Hello everyone,
Have you visited our website lately? Check what's new for ITG 2014 by visiting www.itg2014.com or our facebook page (please like it and help us spread the word around the world).
Registration is open for both the conference and lodging. We recommend reserving your rooms at the conference hotel very soon as we have had many people already do so.
Only 8 month to go

Once again, the lack of affordable lodging is forcing my non-attendance. Sure would be nice if some dorm rooms (or similar) were made available (like they had at the New Jersey conference many years ago). I honestly don't know how people can afford to go, unless they are on a company dime (or fairly well-off). I know that I, as a lowly university professor, cannot justify a huge lodging cost. I thoroughly enjoyed the conference at Rowan and rooms were cheap!
I will say, however, that the actual conference price is well worth it!

Will this event ever be held on the west coast. I am so tired of these events never being in the southwest. It seems to me that you easterners will never make a trip west but the west coast people are always expected to go east. Just me 8 cents. _________________ Yamaha YTR-9335 NYS III

Dear 21Trumpet,
I understand how you feel however this is out of my power. I would recommend for you to place a bid with ITG to be the host of the conference in California. I am sure a lot of us would attend if it took place there.

Dear Pat,
There are plenty of hotels around/near the conference site that you can look into which offer similar rates as Rowan did. However, if you look at our lodging page on the website we do provide a contact person to help with pairing you with a roommate at the conference site. This to should help with lodging cost.

Nice to see some fresh faces on that site (which also looks great).
Can we make any requests? At the end of the festival, instead of a 45 minute version of A Night In Tunisia, can all the guest artists play the Hummel at the same time? _________________ www.mikesailors.com |

Register for Airbnb - a great way to save money when you travel. I have stayed in SF CA ,Portand OR and Denver CO using Airbnb. Great way to meet people as well.

Yea! Then, everyone get's their own cadenza at the end where they play as high and as loud as they can. _________________ www.mikesailors.com |

SWEET!
Instead of trumpet preludes we can replace them with cadenzas. Brilliant! |
But it HAS to end with the Tunisia lick at the end, and everybody on stage has to go for the B right below double C. _________________ www.mikesailors.com |
