Does anyone know how I can make my trumpet really shine? Is there any other things I should do to it other than use a silver polishing cloth on it? |

Get some Haggerty's Silversmiths Polish. This really good cream polish will keep your horn sparkling for a long time. _________________ C. G. Conn 60B Super Connstellation

I've had nice results with Wright's Silver Cream. See your local WalMart. |

You could also try 3M Tarnishield. It is very similiar to Haggerty's silver polish and will give the same fine results. |

Do a search -- lots of advice on TH. Tarnishield, mentioned above, is a perinneil favorite. Flicks (sp?) is another that hasn't been mentioned. There's also the chemical reaction scheme which lifts the tarnish and keeps the silver -- again, a search will find it (I'm tired and lazy).
Polishing cloths may do more harm than good. Some contain abrasives (as do some cleaners and many silver polishes) which will remove silver with the tarnish -- not a good thing! Also, the cloth can become filled with little dirt and dust particles so that each time you wipe, you scratch a bit, for free.
