I just bought a trumpet and I'm having trouble finding info on it. I was told by the seller that it's a Blessing but it doesn't say that anywhere on the instrument. All I can find is "Chris Kratt, NJ" serial # 76937. Can anyone help? Thanks. |

Hi 55,
Chris Kratt was an importer of mainly German made brass instruments and used it's own name on them. The horns are student grade and usually well put together.

Thanks for the information, Scott. I just tried a cornet similar to the one bjazz described. Pretty horn... had a rose colored inlay around the perimeter of the bell and the tubing adjacent to the tuning slide were that color also. Played real nice... good, solid horn. Chris Kratt, Union NJ -- and there was a signature as well, but it was hard to make out ... A. R. Huettl?
bjazz... what did you pay for yours (if you don't mind my asking?) The one I saw is at a local music store and was unmarked, so I'd like to go in and make an offer. _________________ Kanstul F Besson International 800 Bb
