HW Products trumpet set by Padsaver are some of the best I've used.

I second the Brass Savers brushes, made by HW Products and shown at the padsavers site. They do a better job than any brush set that I've tried. I do supplement it with a generic mouthpiece brush that I use weekly. I further supplement it with a Reeves leadpipe swab because that takes up so little space in the case.

Oh, almost forgot, the brush for the inside of the valve casings is particularly effective. I was having a slight problem with the 2d valve hanging occasionally, only when playing, and I really swabbed the inside of the cylinder with the brush. That seems to have cleared up my problem.

I third the Padsavers. I got a tip here on the herald that they were good. They were not expensive so I ordered them and they are the best I have ever used. Hands down.

Trumpet players in Europe might have a look at the cleaning set made by German company REKA (http://www.reka-web.com/english/). I own my cleaning set for about 8 years (and I do clean my horns frequently...). Must be a good quality. You can buy it at Thomann online shop (http://www.thomann.de).

After visiting the Padsaver website, I am considering buying their product next. Seems to be very professional. Thanks for the advice, guys!

Best thing about the Brass Saver is that there are NO metal parts (e.g. coil spring, weighted end, etc ...). Your horn is well protected, inside and out when you use Brass Saver!

I do but not all that stuff is listed on there.

http://pickmusic.net/

btw in case there is some confusion, the pad saver company makes the Brush Savers. They made woodwind stuff first.

Email me at pcking@pickmusic.net.

Hi Priscilla,

I have a set, but am looking to get another set or two. Last I spoke with the people at HW Products, they were thinking of coming out with a brush centrally located on the plastic line (as opposed to the ones they have with the brush at the end), so that the brush can be pulled back and forth (dental floss style). Do you have, or know anything about this? Thanks.

Word. Just quickly...

I reckon I might get a set. If anyone from the UK is interested they told me shipping would be $15. So there we go.

Hey Skip. I reckon the email address shouldn't have a full stop at the end.

Cheerio,

Jan.
