You know there's a reason they call it "playing"
It could be well argued that when it ceases to be fun, it ceases to be music. I've been playing trumpet for 30 years. I enjoy playing now as much as I did when I started. 20 years from now I probably won't be as good as I am now. But I bet I'll be having as much fun!

My best advice is to chill man. REMEMBER...If you had the range before, you CAN and WILL get it back!!! Trust me I know. You can do it.

My trumpet teacher, Laurie Frink, gave me the same advice. And sure enough she was right. I had that A above high C before and I can play it again and have it back. Sure enough, last night, I was playing three or four nice, in tune, A's above high C. Yes, you can do it, too!
