The Philadelphia Orchestra will VIDEO webcast a one hour show on Thursday July 30th at 6:30pm Eastern, 5:30pm Central, 3:30pm Pacific, 11:30pm London, on Friday at 0h30 Central European, 1h30 Finland, 6:30am Beijing, 7:30am Tokyo, 8:30am Sydney, 10:30am New Zealand here:

The show is archived for ON DEMAND viewing. Plenty of great playing by the brass section.

Warning!! The conductor goes on and on and on.......so be ready to skip all of that.

Watched it yesterday. A friend of mine who plays in the orchestra sent me an email letting me know.

Yes, the conductor seemed to me to have thought he could wing it. Maybe a little more preparation would have helped.

How about that little bell player? Wasn't she darling?

Regarding the music, I thought his tempo on "Candide" was one of the most sane tempos I've heard. Too often, when I hear it, it is rushed to the point of almost being obnoxious.
