Hi,
I have a Carl Fischer "Standard" trumpet, looks to be from the 1920's, says Made in Germany on the reciever. I know fischer imported instruments but I don't know where this came from. Any info on these horns greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Hello!
I have a carl fischer senator model. It also says "made in Germany". My particular one is a student model...according to a local pro player....and the way it is made doesn't surprise me. I'm not familiar with your model however.
My understanding is that Buescher was one of two manufacturers. I think "Made in West Germany" (as is on mine) is a good indicator of this.
I hope this helps...

I'm a bit confused about Buescher history. My understanding is that Gus Buescher came here in the 1880's to work for Conn then started his own company in America. I haven't seen anything about Bueschers being made in Germany. You're not the first to say this though so maybe I'm missing something. I've seen a Carl Fischer Senator on Ebay that looked to have been made in the 50's and said "Made in West Germany" on it. Thanks for the reply. |

Glad to help.
My information comes in part from an earlier post entitled "stencil horns" or "stencil trumpets". It was started after I made a post about my senator and didn't know what the term meant.
