Has anyone noticed that Terence Blanchard is scoring about 3 out of every 10 new movies that comes out!

He must have some serious talent. I find it interesting that the scores that he does don't always involve the trumpet.

I had no idea he was working like THAT. Blanchard is an AMAZING talent. I was introduced to him in Mo' Better Blues. I picked up the soundtrack and then brought an album by him called "Simply Stated". I have brought everything he put out since then. I highly recommend "Wandering Moon".

Any soundtracks I may have heard of?

His "Jazz in Film" cd is absolutely great. "Let's Get Lost" has some good stuff on it also.

Terence is the complete package. He has such a unique and beautiful voice on the trumpet, and his composing has been getting better every year. I got a chance to speak to him at a film scoring workshop a couple days ago, and his philosophy is really together too. I can't say enough about him.
