I need a 5 or 5+ case only for storage purposes. (I would never need that many horns on a gig I know). I try to rotate playing all my horns to keep them loose and it gets to be a pain opening and closing multiple cases during a practice session. Anyone ever heard of anything larger than a quad?

Hi

I make my own cases,,I have one for 5 and another I made for 6. These are custom made hard cases and will fit basically the horns I have. if you are good at making things ..You might try this yourself.
Let me know if you are interested and I can tell you how to get started. There maybe companies out there
that do make them,..but I am sure I saved many $$ making my own..and my 2nd trptrs case too.
My email should be in info section, if not I will check back here and see if you still need help.
Good luck.

Play well or Silently

I think Stevie Mac has the right idea. You could get Wiseman to make you a custom job but you'd pay through the nose for it. Try getting a relatively inexpensive suitcase and rig it up to suit your needs. Let us know what you come up with.

Alteri makes a 5 trumpet backpack gigbag, but that's probably not the best option for horn storage. You could just fill a closet with Schilke Quad cases!!

Maybe a coffin. You will need it someday anyway.

If it's really just for storage purposes you might think about setting up a cabinet, like a file cabinet or a used dresser. Probably would not be very difficult to make some fabric covered foam drawer inserts. I bet you could do the whole project for less than $250.
Whatever you come up with, post pictures!
