Pretty useless comparison. As Bill said earlier, they are completely different from era to era and from horn to horn. Get a good one and play it!

digging up old thread again. played a 32 bach large bore yesterday ....what a treat. can say it was really a great horn. didn't even know large bores were a thing in 32.

32 or 37? I didn't know that 32 Bachs were a thing. Is this a Mount Vernon or New York Bach, or Selmer. If it's a Selmer, I though that the only bells available were:

37
38
43
65
72

You're probably right - at first glance I thought it referred to bell size, which is usually specific (but not always) to bore size:

37 = ML
38 = M
25 = L
43 = ML
65 = ML
72 = I think this is the only one I've seen in both ML and L.

I've seen 37's in Large Bore, and 43's in Large Bore and XL bore configurations.

I've never seen or played a 6/6. The 7/7 horns can be fantastic, and are often (if not always) large bore.
