Anybody know anything about the brand name Helmke, Wexler or Morelli?? I know theyre student line but are they decent ones for any of my students to consider or are they only good as paperweights?? Thank you very much!!!

Most likely those are low-quality horns made in Hong Kong. If you can see a pic of them, the Hong Kong horns seem to always come in a ABS plastic molded case. It would be better to buy a good quality student horn made in the USA, Japan, Brazil, or Taiwan. A good used horn would be a better choice than a Hong Kong horn, imo. Look for a King, Conn, Olds, Yamaha, DEG, or Jupiter, among others.... jbqd

Thank you very much! The problem here most kids want a shiny new horn,, and these Hong Kong horns are pretty and cheap which makes them irresistable!! Ive shown one of my student my OLDS Ambassador and she didn't like it? Although she said that its a lot easier to play.
