Fabulous, fabulous playing!
My late father, who was 3rd horn with Royal Stockholm Phil always cherished american brass playing for its clarity and "honesty" for the lack of a better expression.
He was right.
This is probably the second brass record I'll buy, the first being the 1968 recording. _________________ Principal trumpet Gothenburg Opera Orchestra

This needs to come with a warning: have a large box of Kleenex at the ready. WOW!!
Thanks for posting. I began playing this music in a Cathedral at the ripe old age of 12, under the leadership of a guy who could get such strong resultant tones with the same organ that you'd think there was a second trumpet player, when it was just him and the organ. At age 79. That guy is my Dad. Try though we might, we never got a sound like that! And I dare say sound like that was never heard in Vivaldi's day. Props to the recording engineers!
