Great video... Awesome interviews, and also information I didn't realize... (ie. Monette used to outsource their bells...) . Fascinating... _________________ ------

Very sad to see that YouTube has taken down this remarkable piece of trumpet (and brass playing/instrument making in general) from this pivotal moment of the ~mid 1980s. The clips from the vintage Empire Brass quintet are wonderful on their own merit, though I wonder whether licensing those pieces are what ultimately had the clip pulled.
I recall it was a production of Nebraska public TV and wonder whether anyone within that broadcast area knows if the station has digitally archived the episode. Surely a web-savvy trumpet historian or educator or two would want to host the video on their sites if YouTube is determined to boot it for the music segments.
Back to practicing!

I have it on DVD - from VHS I bought when it first came out. I would love to see it hosted online again if that’s possible. _________________ Mark
