maybe this is some hopeless dream. we are coming to the centennial of the '20s and i would love to see a full throated american jazz resurgence, small groups, dixieland, black, white and hopefully latino players tapping into the raw power of simple material. it was about attitude then and it still is.
something has to counter trend the hopelessly sick drivel of most of the music business. i will keep a good thought. for that decade and in my house, i will call the tune. |
