Hello Trumpet World

Can anyone tell me which Parke rim is most similar to a Laskey 75?

Thanks for your help!

Dave

A Laskey 75 is equivalent to a Bach 1 1/2 sized rim. According to a chart I received from Parke when I ordered from them. You are looking for something in the 640 rim range.

Link to the chart below. Hope this helps. FWIW, I play a 640-280-24 which equates to 3C Rim, 1C cup, 24 Backbore

If you're dealing with Parke and already like your Laskey 75 rims... do you have a spare you could have "cut" into a rim for Parke cups/underparts?

I don't know what the best equivalent is, just thought I'd throw that thought out there (although it may well have occurred to you already).

TKSop, great suggestion. If you do have an extra Laskey 75, have the rim cut off and order/find a used Parke bottom help you give it a try. Parke mouthpieces are great if you like them...but they are pricey. My setup is a 3 piece, and each piece cost $100 each.

Id say the 645 diameter. The regular Parke rim is a bit flatter and sharper than the Laskey though. The 650 feels larger...more like the Laskey 80.

Laskey says his 70C is closest to a 1.5C. The 650 and 80 are 1.25 diameters.

The Laskey 75 and 645 are kinda in between sizes. I love both the Laskey 75 and Parke 645

I think you're spot on!

According to Matt Frost's measurements here, the Laskey 75MD does indeed come in at .645 at the juncture.
