Thanks for sharing that clip Wilmer. Lew plays an awesome solo. He is an incredible trumpet player. He can do it all.

Lou told me in 1971 that Alan Rubin played on the recording of Spinning Wheel as Chuck Winfield's wife was having a baby at the time.
Alan played those fabulous high E's behind Lou's solo.

Holy zombie thread, Batman!
I was looking up this tidbit about who did the solo on "Spinning Wheel" and this thread reminds me a bit of Chuck Norris jokes. From now on "Lew Soloff" is going to be my stock answer.
