|
|
Hi,
I use Roche Thomas valve oil.
It sells a 16 oz bottle for a releaviely cheap price.
So, I really like it.
My question is really a simple and tiny thing.
I was wondering where I could get a proper smaller bottle
to bring the oil to practice and lessons.
I know this can be a weird question.
But, I am an international student (not majoring in Music).
So, I sometimes have hard times to express my need in detail
when I visit Walmart or Homedepot.
Even if I deliver it well, their kind recommendations might be
a little bit off in terms of the actual use for valve oil.
So, if you have some experiences on this situation,
I really would like to hear some advice or recommendation.
Sincerely, |

Hobby Lobby stores (and other similar stores, Michael's, etc.) carry the little 1oz. dropper bottles. They are identical to the ones that Spacefiller, etc. valve oil is sold in. You get two to the package.
I use these for the same purpose. |

Thanks a lot, boog.
You gave me another good information.
I have found a couple of Hobby Lobby branches around my location.
Will definitely check those out during the weekend! |

You might as well get some empty bottles from your colleagues, rather than buy anything. Recycle! |

I like to put oil in Visine or other liquid tears bottles. Less waste of oil as they truly release "drops" as opposed to flowing streams like many valve oil bottles. _________________ Trombahonker's Practice Studio on Youtube |

Watch that whatever you use is oil resistant. Valve oil can eat some rubbers.

Thanks for all the kind information.
I actually reused a Fast oil bottle quite many times.
But, since it is not designed for that purpose, I had to use some tools.
While I repeat this several times, the white plastic head part broke loose
and fell into the oil due to the rough surface of the tool.
I felt extremely awful when I saw the tiny pieces were swimming in the oil.
But, I guess now I will be fine with the information.
Actually, a kind member gave me a PM that he can send me a few bottles.
So, I am planning to pay the shipping fee.
I really appreciate all your help!
Sincerely, |

UltraPure offers little 'sample bottles' which are similar in size to a visine bottle, but come pre-loaded with oil. _________________ "Music is like candy, you throw the (w)rappers away." |

I visit the local apothecary and buy eye dropper bottles from them. |
