Does anyone know of any other pieces that similar to this piece, either melodically or harmonically? It's one of my favorite pieces, and I can't seem to find much other trumpet rep quite like this. |

Francaix was unique in his style of writing, but there are some other works that might interest you. The Schmitt Suite http://petruccilibrary.ca/linkhandler.php?path=/imglnks/caimg/3/39/IMSLP25950-PMLP57928-Schmitt_-_Suite_for_Trumpet_and_Piano,_Op._133.pdf is a great work worthy of greater performances.
The George Antheil Sonata http://petruccilibrary.ca/linkhandler.php?path=/imglnks/caimg/7/7b/IMSLP450067-PMLP731973-Antheil,_George_-_Trumpet_Sonata.pdf is another outstanding work that deserves to be played more.
You might also look at the Porrino http://petruccilibrary.ca/linkhandler.php?path=/imglnks/caimg/f/fc/IMSLP464443-PMLP754407-Porrino_preludio-aria-e-scherzo-per-tromba-e-pianoforte-parti-pianoforte.pdf and http://petruccilibrary.ca/linkhandler.php?path=/imglnks/caimg/f/fa/IMSLP464444-PMLP754407-Porrino-preludio-aria-e-scherzo.pdf, another excellent work.
Hope these are of some value!
