Don't entirely understand the question?
In terms of pitch- the smallest (widely available) cornet is the Eb soprano cornet.
In terms of size; nothing is going to be significantly smaller or more tightly wrapped than a pocket trumpet. |

Carol Brass has two models of pocket trumpet that would fit the bill, one with a larger and one with a smaller bell. Contact HornTrader who has both of them for sale.
Carol Brass Bb cornets are, of course, larger than their Bb pocket trumpets, but still fairly short compared to standard-wrap Bb trumpets. Check them out at Thomann.de website.
Lastly, Carol Brass makes also a pocket C trumpet. |

Bach cr310 is a pretty small tightly wrapped cornet. Much more compact than any of my other cornets _________________ a few different ones |

The Conn Director 15a or 17a(Copper bell version) made in the 1960's. Short, very sturdy, and plays well. They are available at reasonable prices (for the most part!). If you just want a travel horn to throw in your suitcase, these work well. I am speaking from experience. Pristine examples crop up all the time online (along with junkers). They are not "pro level" horns, but play surprisingly well, heavy duty construction to survive hard student use with high quality bracing, thick metal, and reinforcement on tubing bends. Conn made millions of 'em...I bought a copper bell model in decent condition a few years ago for less than 100 bucks including shipping. It fits in a laptop bag along with a folder with room to spare, great to take to a rehearsal! |

At this moment Carol mini pocket is the smallest new horn in the market, Holton use to make C105 I thing but is for many years out of product.

You are looking for a pocket cornet? I've done that from time to time.
This is a fun read: http://www.pocketcornets.com/
I'm still looking. I don't want an Indian brand. The vintage ones are really hard to find. Maybe because Nick bought them all? _________________ Richard

If you can find one try an Olds Recording Cornet. I used to own one and it was almost as small as my pocket trumpet, but better tone and ergonomics. _________________ Recording Olds Trumpet

Not looking for a pocket horn, I’m looking for a cornet that’s physically small but still a regular cornet.
Thanks for the conn director suggestion above
An Olds Recording is nice, but too expensive to not worry about damaging. This is not a horn that gets babied |

Getzen 381, 481 and 782 cornets have rather tight wraps. |

The Bach 310 cornet is a smaller than many of the other Shepherd's crook cornet. Enjoyable and excellent sound. _________________ Current cornets and mouthpieces:

There is also an inexpensive shepherd crook cornet called Besson 1000. Very well made. |

Hi
I'm not sure where you are based, but the old Boosey and Hawkes cornets, such as the Regent or Imperial are smaller than modern short model cornets, and build like tanks.
i.e.

(a random example from Google images, as I haven't currently got any method of posting a picture of mine).
All the best

I don't mean for this to sound sexist, but you are never getting a male trumpet/cornet player to say that he has the smallest anything unless it is the smallest bank account. That's just MHO _________________ "There are two sides to a trumpeter's personality,

Often what seems to make a cornet different (besides debates over how conical they are, etc.) is wrap. But to make a trumpet/cornet smaller already requires a different wrap and I can't imagine a (for instance) shepherd's crook pocket cornet. Currently there's no one making a pocket trumpet that takes a cornet mouthpiece (as far as I've heard) or is making pocket trumpets in anything other than Bb and C, but maybe I'm wrong. I also have two Carol pockets (mini pocket in Bb and the regular C pocket trumpet) and like them. I think you could get a pocket trumpet with a cornet receiver made for it, and I'm guessing that sooner or later someone will make a Db or E pocket trumpet. |

Or just get a short-wrap piccolo. |
