Hey Everybody, I wrote a post a little under a week ago about my hands and how they were corroding the triggers on my new lacquer V1 quickly, and I got some really good responses. After trying a few of the responses I found the perfect solution for the problem. I was looking around at a local hardware store and I found some stuff called "Plasti Dip". It's a spray or dip that covers basically anything with a durable rubber cover. I bought the spray, took off the first slide and covered all but the trigger with masking tape, and sprayed a few layers of it onto the trigger. It took a while to completely harden, about 36 hours, but now it now just perfect. I now have a rubber covering over my trigger that protects it from my hands, and is actually pretty comfortable, and if it ever tears or breaks, I can just peel it right off and spray it on again. Hopefully this will be of some help to someone. |
