I'm enjoying the lip bends in FLEXUS, and as a true Caruso believer, many of the other exercises as well. But a few recent posts have got me wondering about the Stamp approach--of which I know nothing--and specifically the role of lip bends. Can anyone point me to a fairly concise overview of the Stamp approach, or give me your thoughts on how such an approach might dovetail with the Caruso calisthenics?
thanks, Scott |

Scott, if you haven't found it yet, there is a James Stamp link on the trumpet herald below that should provide all of the information you need. I am a believer in Stamp. When practiced correctly, the exercises are a HUGE benefit to many aspects of playing from sound and air support to articulation precision and speed. _________________ Matt Cyr
