There are some talents so huge that they defy description. Gunhild Carling is, in a word, AWESOME. Her primary instrument is trombone but she can seemingly play anything. There's a video of her playing three trumpets at the same time. She dances, she sings, she knows jazz history and her instrumental playing is really fun to hear. An amazing lady! _________________ HERMOKIWI

I can't tell what trumpet that is, but I would think the pinky hook shape is distinctive enough to be a clue. _________________ Matt Finley https://mattfinley.bandcamp.com/releases

Gunhild is playing a trumpet from former east Germany. If memory serves me
It’s a Wholrab but not sure. Large bore with wobbly valves. She likes it because it is easy to bend notes. And yes, she plays whatever you put in her hands.she is fantastic! _________________ A whole lot of vintage horns.

It is really interesting-looking:
Besson-style second valve slide
Huttl-style pinky hook and water key levers
Reversed first valve slide and bell ferrule configuration
Slanted tuning slide brace

That's where Keilwerths are/were made. Any connection? _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird

None that I know of. Nauheim was home to a couple of different instrument makers. Apparently the city ran a subsidy program to secure jobs for the region.
