For me the ml version is very tight but I prefer large bore cornets and open Bb's, if you prefer tight feel horns the ml probably it suits better your needs .
The best is to found them and try both.
Good luck .

Brett Getzen might be the best guy to answer that. _________________ Bryan Fields

I own a bunch of cornets and one of them is an Eterna 800 ML and it's by far the best cornet of them all and by far the best cornet I ever played. Great horn. They say that the L bore Eterna should be even better, I don't know, never played one. |

The ML would be better in a symphony orchestra, and the L might work better in a brass band. It depends what sound you prefer. I have the ML, and it doesn't feel tight to me. The L is darker with less highs in the sound than the ML. Try both. |

I’ve never played an ML, but my Getzen 800 large bore is the easiest playing instrument that I’ve ever owned. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. On days where I haven’t gotten to practice enough, or for some reason my chops aren’t feeling 100%, or if I just need to feel the most secure and confident possible I turn to my Getzen LB cornet.
It’s like magic. I’d give anything to find a trumpet that plays that easily.
Needless to say, I advise you to hold out for a LB. |

O yes, I forgot. I am with Markp here, my Eterna 800ML is an amazing horn and I also would give anything to find a trumpet that plays that easily.
But the ML bore Eterna certainly is NOT a tight horn, it's more extremely efficient. BTW it is the only ML bore horn I own, all my cornets and trumpets are lb. The Eterna ML is not tighter than any of my lb horns. |

Sorry for the late reply. I think the above responses sum up why I couldn’t really tell you which is better. Too subjective. What I can say is if you are looking for a cornet, click on to our Facebook page down below and look for the post about Jonathan Corry’s recent visit. A little something we’re working on. _________________ Brett Getzen

You’re right it didn’t say much. Just a teaser of something we aren’t ready to “announce” yet. And it isn’t just for him, but he was the first outsider to get his hands on it. _________________ Brett Getzen

Is this a custom reserve? A continuation of what you were tinkering with when I was at your factory? (I hope I hope) |
