From Karl Sievers
Remember, your registration for our Adam Fest funds it all. This is a non-profit of course as you know, Jim Stokes has a fabulous line-up for us all. as we say, "something for everyone" and no kidding. Special sessions for teachers, for the younger players, non-professionals, professionals, everyone, and all are welcome to any and all of it.
Preserving the ethics and teaching of William Adam is our goal. There is no other event where you can learn so much from those who really know. You'll hear it from the best. You can get lessons from the best. You can observe first hand the remarkable positive changes these experts will have on anyone with a desire to learn. And you'll meet lots of old and new friends in the bargain.
The live concerts will be inspiring, fun, and simply terrific.
This is an amazing resource for the $200 fee ($75 for students). Please do not delay signing up - I'm excited to see you all in a few weeks - KS.

The FB link gave me an "insufficient permissions" error.
Since this is an hour away from me, what would be the value to someone with Adam knowledge only gained from reading around TH?
I would like to see what vendors would be there, too.
Thanks, Joe |

I just wanted to share that Steve Patrick will be at the William Adam Trumpet Festival this weekend with PATRICK mouthpieces.
Steve studied under William Adam while attending IU in 1987-88 and now works as Nashville's first-call studio and live trumpet player. Hope to see you there! _________________ Christopher Rymes

To cal and others that haven't studied with Mr. Adam or one of his students, the benefits of coming to an Adam Conference include:
free lessons with former Adam students that were Assistant Instructors under Bill Adam.
Masterclasses from former Adam students explaining the concepts and methods used by Mr. Adam.
Warmup sessions led by former Adam students.
Concerts featuring former Adam students. Last night, Chris Botti's band performed. Tickets were free for students at the conference.Yesterday afternoon, Karl Sievers, professor at University of Oklahoma, performed the Tomasi and Gill Hoffer, retired principal cornet of Pershing's Own Army band, played the Chaynes concerto. The recital featured half a dozen great Adam students. Last year's conference featured Jerry Hey, Larry Hall, Charley Davis, Arturo Sandoval...
Exhibition hall where horns, mouthpieces and such are available for trial and sale. This year, Bach, Bob Reeves, Fred Powell, Hub van Laar and Charley Davis are selling wares.
You could think of an Adamfest as having the benefits and fun of an ITG conference, only smaller and focusing intently upon the teaching method of a sole, legendary pedagogue.
If one is curious about the Adam approach to trumpet playing but doesn't have access to lessons from an Adam student, these conferences are the best way to get an understanding of the concepts.
