|
|
Just looking for some clarifications/opinions. I'm aware of 3 5-4 models:
1. The standard
2. The BG with the extra saddle/ring for tuning
3. The MA (Maurice Andre) model
So I'm really looking for what the differences are in the BG and MA models, and even a comparison to the P7-4 (short bell, same tuning features).
Thanks |

I read the following link to find the answer to your question. https://www.schilkemusic.com/products/trumpets/piccolo-trumpets/#P5-4
BG has ring/saddle on first and third slides. So does the P7-4. The difference is the wrap. The standard doesn't have ring/saddle on first and third slides to adjust while playing.
The MA comes with an extra fourth slide to put the horn in the key of G while the fourth valve is depressed. |

Thanks....now has anyone recently compared the 5-4 & 7-4? Long vs short bell....usage is playing solo music. |
