|
|
I understand Yamaha made a silent Brass pickup mute that could be used with piccolo trumpets, the PM9. That model appears to be discontinued now, and I can't find a newer model on Yamaha's web site. Any information on whether the PM9 pickup mute will be replaced with something newer? Some of the on-line music stores still show PM9 as a choice, but it is always out of stock.
Thanks,
Mike |

While I don't know the answer to your question, I do have one, and it's a great practice mute for piccolo. It has saved me on numerous occasions! _________________ -----------------------------------------------------------------

I had posted earlier that my Silent Brass Piccolo mute was for sale cheap. It's now living in Denmark so...I no longer have it.

Just get a Brenner Shhhhh mute. Cheaper and works much better. I recently had to spend 3 days working on piccolo with it. Not a single issue as far as noise goes, but also nothing to report playing-wise. I did softer and try to refrain from forcing...
Cheers
