Has anyone ever heard of a Barclay Professional trumpet?
On the valve body is stamped "Austria".
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I never had my hands on one but they appear to be a typical off brand trumpet that might play ok.

Thanks for the replies.
I think you are correct. It is an off-brand grade c trumpet.

There is a trumpet repairman/maker named Robert Barklay. If this trumpet was made by him or one of his apprentices, it may be an off-grade but that doesn't equate with inferior. Depending on why you're asking, you may want to dig a litle deeper.

I might add that in the Germanic countries there is a long tradition of independent musical-instrument makers and some of them are excellent.

I believe you have a stencil horn made by Musica Steyr of Austria and Amati of the former Czechoslovakia. I have one of these in a cornet. In the 1960s (or so) there was a business arrangement where Amati horns were assembled in Austria. My horn is a decent player, but not a quality horn. I noticed the metal in the valves does not seem to be of the quality of modern instruments. Hope this helps.
