Hi kokopelli,
From Warburton:
TJ Backbore: For the commercial-style player who is used to putting more air through the horn, the new TJ backbore is the perfect balance of power and support! Played by the lead trumpet for Marc Anthony, and other professional players, we're getting great feedback.
NY Backbore: This backbore was inspired by the sound of the old Giardinelli #3 (default) backbore made popular by Maynard and others in the '70's. The New York sound was broad, bright, and acoustically loud - which are also the qualities of this backbore. Resistance is just a bit tighter than our #5.
These are both commercial leaning backbores that will provide a bright sound and quick response. But will both respond differently based on what top you are currently using as well as the trumpet you are using.
Please let me know if you have any further questions, we are happy to help. _________________ Garrett Faccone
